This fiber was one of two dreamy blends in our July 2026 Retro Ice Cream Shop Fiber Club! The whole box took its cue from Doyle's, the sweet little retro ice cream shop here in Spokane, all soda-fountain sparkle and happy 1950s nostalgia. Strawberry Malt is the one we reached for when we wanted something creamy, pink, and a little bit fancy.
It is a custom blend of 37.5% Merino, 25% Blue Faced Leicester, 25% Rose Fiber, and 12.5% Silk. Rose fiber is made from rose stems that would otherwise go to waste, drawing out into a smooth, lustrous fiber that adds beautiful drape and shine. Paired with silk, the two give the blend a glowing, almost liquid look in the light. Blue Faced Leicester brings strength, luster, and a silky handle all its own, while the Merino rounds it out with softness, elasticity, and an effortless draft. The result is wonderfully soft with a gorgeous silky sheen.
