Majacraft Aura Hybrid Flyer Kit

The Aura Hybrid Flyer is the most versatile flyer Majacraft makes, and this kit lets you fit it to almost any Majacraft wheel. The hybrid orifice does two jobs in one. An open pigtail guide takes bulky and heavily textured art yarns, and because it is open you can add or remove elements as you spin, even ones too large to pass through the orifice. A delta sits in the center of the same orifice to hold fine and coiled yarns dead still while you work. The 23mm (about 1 Inch) ceramic ring is hard wearing and low friction, so the yarn flows whatever you are making.

Because it carries the longer flyer bar, this kit also runs Majacraft Jumbo bobbins, so you can spin extra long art and bulky yarns or ply onto the larger bobbin without stopping to wind off. The kit includes the flyer and one Jumbo bobbin in your choice of wood or plastic.

The Aura Hybrid Flyer is the flyer that comes standard on the Aura, and it fits every other current Majacraft wheel: Rose, Suzie, Suzie Professional, Luna, and Little Gem. Fitting it to a Little Gem, choose the Little Gem option, which adds the smaller scotch tension knob needed for clearance between the flyer and the tension adjuster.

Majacraft Flyer and Bobbin Compatibility

Majacraft flyers and bobbins are matched by the length of the flyer bar, not by the wheel. Any Majacraft flyer fits any current Majacraft wheel, but each flyer takes a particular size of bobbin.

• Standard bobbins run on the Standard Delta and Fine flyers.
• Jumbo bobbins are longer, so they run on the Plying, Wild, and Aura Hybrid flyers, not the Standard Delta or Fine flyer.
• Lace and Baby bobbins run on the Lace flyer.
• Overdrive bobbins use a larger axle and fit the Overdrive Head only.

Fitting a long-bar flyer (Plying, Wild, or Aura Hybrid) to a Little Gem also needs the Little Gem Mini scotch tension knob for clearance. The Aura comes with the Aura Hybrid flyer, so it is ready for Jumbo bobbins out of the box.
