The Lace bobbin is built for spinning very fine lace weight yarns. A thin-wall fibreglass core keeps the bobbin light, which gives you the sensitive brake adjustment lace spinning needs. The core is deliberately fat, which reduces the yarn-to-bobbin angle and the tension on the yarn as you spin, so fine singles are less likely to break.

A standard pair of socks usually takes 100g of fingering weight, while a hat takes about 100g of worsted.For Spinning Fiber, a standard 4oz braid will generally make a pair of socks or a hat.
