Details
Fits lace, standard and jumbo Majacraft bobbins. Overdrive bobbins need the Overdrive Lazy Kate.
The Majacraft Universal Tensioned Lazy Kate holds three bobbins, so a three-ply comes straight off the wheel. A knob on the side drags on the bobbins through a brake band, the same scotch tension parts Majacraft uses on its wheels, so your singles feed off evenly instead of spinning ahead of you. The feet fold flat for storage.
Setting it up
- Tap the three yarn guides into the top.
- Screw the hook with the spring into the right-most small hole on the face, and the other two hooks into the remaining small holes.
- Thread the brake band through the hooks.
- Push the tension knob into the left-most hole and tie the band to it through the hole in its shaft.
- Push the three brass rods into the holes that are left.
It sets up two ways, one for jumbo plying bobbins and one for standard and lace bobbins, and Majacraft's assembly sheet shows both. Turn the knob to set how much the bobbins drag.
