About the SpinOlution Pollywog

The Pollywog is SpinOlution's lightweight, budget-friendly wheel, at 8 to 9 lb the lightest in the lineup. It ships with a 4 oz flyer and a built-in lazy kate that holds three bobbins, with the option to upgrade to a 12 oz flyer. New to the wheel itself? Start at the Pollywog product page.

Pollywog-Specific Upgrades

The Pollywog Accelerator is a bolt-on accessory that mounts between the upright and the flyer head, giving you 18 fast ratios up to 43.5:1 for ultrafine and thread spinning. No other SpinOlution wheel uses this pattern; the 4A flyer on the Echo, Monarch, and Firefly is a different integrated product entirely. The Pollywog Orifice Riser raises the orifice by 3 In for taller spinners. It uses the Extended Pollywog Band and is not recommended with the Accelerator installed.

Compatibility Notes

Pollywog flyer heads, drive bands, and the 12 oz flyer are Pollywog-specific. Heads do not interchange with the Echo, Firefly, Monarch, or any other wheel even where capacities match, and drive bands should not be substituted from other families. The 4 oz Pollywog uses 4 oz bobbins (also compatible with Echo, Monarch, Firefly, Queen Bee). The 12 oz Pollywog uses 12 oz bobbins, which are Pollywog-only. Add Wildflowers or Honeycomb engraving to 4 oz bobbins through SpinOlution Bobbin Engraving; 12 oz engraving is not offered.
