SpinOlution Pollywog Wheel and Accessories

Everything here fits the SpinOlution Pollywog and, in most cases, nothing else. The Pollywog uses its own flyer heads, its own drive bands, and a bolt-on Accelerator no other SpinOlution wheel shares, so parts that look interchangeable often aren't.

About the Pollywog

The Pollywog is the lightest wheel in the line at 8 to 9 lb. It ships with a 4 oz flyer and a built-in lazy kate that holds three bobbins, and you can move up to a 12 oz flyer later.

The Accelerator and the Orifice Riser

The Accelerator mounts between the upright and the flyer head and gives you 18 faster ratios, up to 43.5:1, for ultrafine and thread spinning. It isn't the same thing as the 4A flyer on the Echo, Monarch and Firefly, which is an integrated product entirely. The Orifice Riser lifts the orifice 3 In for taller spinners, uses the Extended Pollywog Band, and we don't recommend running it with the Accelerator fitted.

What Does and Does Not Interchange

Flyer heads don't interchange with the Echo, Firefly or Monarch even where the capacities match, and drive bands shouldn't be swapped in from other families. The 4 oz Pollywog takes 4 oz bobbins, which also fit the Echo, Monarch, Firefly and Queen Bee. The 12 oz Pollywog takes 12 oz bobbins, and those are Pollywog only.
