Ashford's Sliding Hook Flyer swaps fixed hooks for squeeze-and-slide yarn guides on light fibreglass arms, so you slide the guide along and the bobbin fills evenly. Pick single or double drive to match your wheel, natural or lacquered.

Fitting it is two hooks screwed into the flyer base and the guides squeezed onto the arms. On double drive, the whorl slides onto the flat on the flyer shaft.

Yes, the single drive version fits the Traveller 3, as well as single drive Traditional and Traveller wheels. The double drive version is for the double drive Traditional, the double drive Traveller and the Elizabeth.
Look at the drive band. Single drive is one band around the flyer whorl with a separate brake band over the bobbin, and double drive is one long band looped twice, around both the flyer whorl and the bobbin.
Yes, a single drive Standard Bobbin goes on it. It holds about 100g, a little less than the 130g Sliding Hook Flyer Bobbin that comes with the flyer.
Both spin the same. Lacquered arrives sealed, and natural is bare wood for you to wax or seal, which protects it from lanolin and marks over the years.
