The Majacraft Suzie is a full-sized Castle wheel with an unusually lean vertical profile. Hand-built in Tauranga, New Zealand from Rimu, the Suzie stacks the head, drive wheel, and treadles close along a single upright frame, which keeps the wheel's footprint sensible without scaling down any of its working components. The result is a serious working wheel that holds its own at speed, sits comfortably in a reading nook or a bedroom corner, and looks like something you'd want in the room whether or not you were spinning that day.

A New Zealand Clematis flower motif is laser engraved on the handle and drive wheel to create a unique and striking look. The same care extends to the rest of the build. Solid Rimu and Rimu veneer MDF, hard-wearing pre-catalysed lacquer finish, sealed roller bearings throughout, statically balanced fibreglass flyer arms, and a polycord drive band running off a 13 Inch drive wheel. Every Suzie is hand-assembled and tested before it leaves the workshop.

Underneath the Suzie's distinct silhouette is the same component ecosystem that runs across the Majacraft range. All Majacraft pulleys fit the wheel, all current Majacraft flyers fit it, and all current wooden bobbins work on it. The Suzie ships with a Standard Delta Flyer, four plastic bobbins, and the Suzie Pulley, with five ratios spanning 4.1:1 to 13.8:1 across the standard whorl. Comfortable territory for general-purpose spinning: the larger grooves suit bulkier and lofty yarns, the smaller grooves pull enough twist for finer worsted singles. Scotch tension, double treadle, 29.5 Inch orifice height, and a 21.7 Inch folded height for moving the wheel between rooms or out to a guild meeting.

Because the head and pulleys are shared across the Majacraft line, the Suzie can take on heavier work as your spinning grows. Add the High Speed Head to lift the top ratio to around 28:1 for fine and lace work, or fit the Overdrive Head (Suzie) to gain the same direct bobbin drive system found on the Aura, with five-litre Overdrive bobbins for art yarn and big plying jobs. The full set of compatible upgrades and parts lives in the Majacraft Suzie Accessories collection.
