The SpinOlution Lazy Kate is a freestanding bobbin holder for plying. It fits all SpinOlution bobbins from 4 oz through 32 oz, with three 1/4 In rods that include 3/8 In adapters for cross-bobbin compatibility. Magnets on the back of the Kate hold the rods when they're not in use, so nothing rattles loose between sessions. No assembly required.

Features

  • Three 1/4 In rods with 3/8 In adapters for use with all SpinOlution bobbins up to 32 oz
  • Magnets on the back hold the rods between uses
  • Adjustable legs for level placement on uneven surfaces
  • Small footprint suitable for any spinning setup
  • Crafted from sustainably sourced Baltic birch
  • No assembly required

Plying Setup

Place the Lazy Kate on the floor next to your wheel for plying with any SpinOlution wheel, or attach it directly to the Monarch, Hopper, Echo, or Firefly for spinners who prefer a connected setup. Plying is smoothest when bobbins or plying threads are loaded on the outermost rods, which keeps tension even and controlled.

Compatibility

The Lazy Kate fits all SpinOlution bobbin sizes from 4 oz through 32 oz. It does not fit 64 oz bobbins. If you own a Monarch or Firefly with 64 oz bobbins, or you want adjustable tension for finer plying, see the SpinOlution Tensioned Lazy Kate, which adds 64 oz capacity along with a tension block and bobbin magnets.

The Hopper has a dedicated lazy kate option with geometry built specifically for the Hopper.
