The SpinOlution Niddy Noddy is a hand-held tool for winding handspun yarn from a bobbin into a measured skein. Each wrap measures 2 yards, so counting yardage is straightforward as you skein. Crafted from Baltic birch in the USA, it pairs with any spinning wheel.

The Niddy Noddy is ideal for skeining yarn from 4 oz and 8 oz bobbins. For larger skeins from 16 oz and 32 oz bobbins, the SpinOlution Skein Winder is a better fit. Portable and quiet, the Niddy Noddy takes up no dedicated studio space and works well for spinners winding from a chair, traveling with a wheel, or finishing small batches at a time.
Two-Piece Design
The Niddy Noddy breaks down into two flat pieces for compact storage and travel between projects. The pieces have a keyed slot that locks them together when assembled, and to separate them, you just need to pull the split wood to the sides. Built-in carrying handles make the assembled tool easy to hold while winding.
